BuildMyMTB is a free, unbiased bike-building tool with accurate data. Pick parts and see, in real time, whether they fit together, plus running price and weight.
You never had to read this page to use the tool. The builder is always the front door. This page is for the people who want to know who makes it, what the dots mean, and what “verified” actually verifies.
What the tool promises
Unbiased
No manufacturer pays for placement, ordering, or a favorable verdict. Affiliate links may help fund the site someday, and none run on the site today. They never bias a result, and each one will be labeled.
Straight to the data
The site loads directly to the parts. No pop-ups, no newsletter walls, no cookie interstitials. That is a rule, not a preference.
Honest verdicts
“No conflicts found” means exactly that: no conflict among the dimensions this tool checks, never a blanket guarantee of perfect fit.
What “verified” means
✓ Verified on a part means its interfaces and weight were checked against the manufacturer's own published spec (or, where a maker publishes no weight, a reputable third-party measured weight; interfaces still always come from the maker), with the source linked on the part card. Everything else is honestly labeled ≈ sample data until it earns the check.
- Sources are manufacturer pages and documents, never search-result summaries.
- Prices are USD MSRP; sale prices are always labeled as sale prices.
